International EEVZA Kid’s Festival of Beach Volleyball took place on the 29th and the 30th of June at the Kremlin beach in the ancient Russian city Velikiy Novgorod.
Since 2014 the Kid’s Festival in Velikiy Novgorod was been representing as All-Russian event. It is the most attended beach volleyball competition for young volleyball players in Russia. Every year more than 300 juniors from different regions of Russia participated in the festival.
This year the festival received the official international status of EEVZA. Competitions was held among teams of girls and boys in three age groups: 2003-04 year of birth; 2005-06 year of birth and 2007 year of birth and younger. Games in the senior and middle groups were held according to the formula 2 vs 2, the youngest volleyball players played according to the formula 4 vs 4.
Also some interesting competitions were held among family teams (one parent and one child).
Ten courts were laid in the historic center of the city located on the bank of Volkhov river directly at the walls of the ancient Novgorod Kremlin. 186 teams (442 juniors) from 16 regions of Russia, also from Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan participated in the competitions.
In addition to volleyball competitions, participants and fans will be involved in an interactive program with master classes and various fun competitions.
All the participants were presented by the branded t-shirts. Those who occupied the 1-3 places was awarded by medals, cups, diplomas of appropriate dignity, and gifts from sponsors and organizers.
